When using Quick Assist, the end-user is in user mode to remote control devices, a black screen is presented to the rescuer when a UAC dialogue box appears on the end-user device and the administrator cannot enter in a password or dismiss. This is a quick post on how to resolve this

if you use Quick Assist , when you connect to a remote users laptop/PC and try to do anything that requires an administrator elevation, the screen is just blanked out.

Set the following policy either locally or via a Domain GPO.

Computer Configuration > Windows Settings > Local Policies > Security Options > User Account Control : Switch to the secure desktop when prompting for elevation. Check Define this policy setting and select Disabled.

Update your computers with the latest group policy change. In CMD Prompt run gpupdate /force
